Nothing has happened on the Perce prepared site yet IMO. Won't until the diamond rig gets out there probably early June.
The rectangular area is probably the planned drill site. When a diamond rig arrives a black spot usually appears plus signs of disturbance along the access track from at least two large trucks and a small convoy of 4WDs going to and from site to camp (wherever that may be - for the drillers probably close by).
Water needs to be sourced for the diamond drilling so probably a water bore is the first order of business if no surface water is available.
Depth to bedrock?
Shallow at Mawson IMO some 10 Kms to the west with thin sand cover over weathered basement and then some 50-100 vertical meters to fresh rock.
Perce? Fingers crossed it will be similar but if there is faulting then all bets are off.
At CGR's prospect the Amadeus cover is >400m at Surus and Tantor only a few kilometers north of outcropping basement. No details available but step across the fault north of Mt Webb and depth to basement could be very deep in a short distance. Less likely at Perce but the magnetics do hint at increased cover.
Drilling by AZY through 300+m of cover and a similar distance into bedrock took well over a month. Allow at least 2-3 weeks to drill to 600m. Too many factors involved to predict how fast. Simple one is single or double shifts which obviously make a huge difference. 30-50m a day in fresh rock is a good average to use.
