Excellent article Bullish thanks for sharing. There is noticeable uptick in asset purchasing over takeovers. Strikland and Kin are two recent beneficiaries from this trend. Can see this trend continuing to gather momentum. Management stays happy as they retain their jobs with plenty of freshly minted cash to splash around and the acquirer is happy as they don't have to mess around divesting a bunch of crappy non-core assets.
