HDR made most of its gains due to chin being deemed a commercial resource. Other drills off the Mauritania Coast were either dusters or gas discoveries ( some of which were very large) tiof was one from memory. With the failure of chin which was due to not engineering the correct recovery method left HDR with little cash but some very good acreage in other locations. Tullow oil stepped in following oil discoveries on tenements next hdr's. Several drills on hdr's tenements confirmed this and a take over was made by tullow. Hardmano who posts on far probably can tell u more. I have followed far and then finally invested because of the potential of Senegal and Kenya which has some similarities to hdr's tenements which tullow took over and had great success with. Many years ago people considered far to be the next Hardman and it's looking to be comming true!!!
