a2m presently only export infant formula from NZ, although, as I understand, the Chinese registration process requires both the producer (Synlait) and the brand holder (a2m) to meet Chinese regulatory requirements.
So, if a2m do decide to partner with an Australian producer, it should not take much to move forward if the Australian producer, whether that be Murray Goulburn or another, also already have Chinese regulatory approval in place.
The Australian federal export licence requirements will be practically a rubber stamp for a quality brand like a2m once all the Chinese regulatory ticks are in place.
