New holder to NOR here, got in today at 0.135 so fairly happy with that.
Is there a link (for the lazy) or break down in the forum for a comparison of costs per minute, versus Skype/Viber etc.
How much data usage will NOR use in conjunction with cellular? As we all know Australian roaming data costs an arm and a leg, unless they're targeting free hotspots? From what i've read NOR requires data to first 'initiate' the first 'hop'? So is NOR useless without data?
What are the real cost savings vs. a local SIM with data?
Ie. Local sim for 1 month in USA costs about $50 for 4GB of data at 4G then unlimited at 3G, unlimited calls/txts within USA.
Japan you have unlimited data hotspots for not much at all.
The differentiating product i can outright see with World Phone is the local renting of a phone number, but then again I can hand out my Skype ID to all my contacts and let them know to call there?
The website is just very 'vauge' on the costs which i don't like. I can't yet install the app on my phone, so maybe it will shed some light within the app itself.
