Its all abt timing!! One wrong move & u snick the ball to the slips!! I am assuming, u watched MEO tank frm its 30c highs to 7c lows in Feb, & now in a space of 7 weeks, its moved frm 12c to 45c. U could do the elementary maths & work out the % movement/gain vs loss :)

Then again, if u've held a good stk for 3-5 years, whats a 5 month wait worth!! I guess it comes down to strategy & exit plans, some get shaken up & retire hurt while fending a bouncer despite wearing a Helmet, while some get back up & hook & pull their way out of this short-stuff, flying around. Have a plan, long, mid or short, if u know how this industry works!! We did see KAR's SP tank on news of P&A as well, remember there was panic & then there were those who were ridiculing others.

It is strange, b'coz 4 months back not a single suited up financial adviser would have told u anything abt KAR despite the SP being $3.60 & even last nite, they mentioned on FN-Arena, that it was heavily banded around by a broker in its early days & a recent discovery in-ground, has made its SP fly north. Not to mention some hotshot from ABN-AMRO sying it was a failure with 2 tools left behind & no flows!! Talk abt quality research & guidance!!

I hope, by now, with KAR, u've recovered y'r losses on MEO or any other fatality, courtesy of the GFC, the Mini-Maq's or Childcare stocks, as have many :)
