The all a have root cause , isolation and disconnection from oneself and therefore others . so look for an external action of some short so to find some relief .
I was just sitting out in the sun pondering the solution of these matters , and was reminded of how I cleared myself from sexual and gambling thought patterns that could have become very disruptive to my life expression.
Once I became aware of the underlying energy structure of all human forms . the ability of touch to replace the external behaviours expressed and craved , so learning and receiving full body massages that bring about the inner sense of peace sort externally through drugs and alcohol , gambling , and showing aggression to others .
so If those troubled souls , could have regular massages by fully trained and wise people , I am sure this would have transforming effects on many who took up this . At $100 for an hour is a lot cheaper than an ice habit and will only change your thinking instead of distorting it and releasing crap..
I can see prisoners in jail would be profoundly effected , and some would become skilled if allowed to be trained and apply this within their institutions . the sense of touch is very powerful because of the "energy" transference that can bring about major shifts .
I have seen this happen many times when I gave massages for a few years part time .

Some good stuff here.
Unfortunately, most masseurs have zero wisdom, and so they compensate for this with a heavy handed grinding away at tender points, claiming that they are breaking down scar tissue or 'releasing fascia'. Complete horse sh1t.
As you say, it's all about the therapist's vibe... the ability to enter an altered state of consciousness and transfer that via the hands. It can be done knowingly or with complete naievity - same result.
