I have been trying to think of the biggest existential threat to lithium and arrived at a similar point: even if it exists and is discovered tomorrow it’s likely more than a decade away (Unless someone can develop a tiny, lightweight nuclear battery that doesn’t produce highly radioactive waste that has to be buried somewhere remote!)
