Are you saying that a volitile exchange rate is forcing investors into gold. That might be the case but still, there has to be some support for gold at 1400 usd, the market is not that stupid especially after the crash.
There are other factors forcing up the price of gold. Such as the cost price squeeze which means that the price of gold needs to be higher due to high mining costs.
