Well folks, its not looking too good is it. Seems most posters have deserted HC as well. Still in shock?? So where to from here?

Assuming that NKP lose all farms - likely but not inevitable - what compensation could they expect to receive from DMR?? It was DMR after all who granted rights (mistakenly/corruptly?) to Genorah who then backed into NKP (a seperate entity).

My calculation of what NKP could ask for is approx $100M = the cost to acquire G and T and money spent on drilling etc. Now if Genorah's shares held in escrow are cancelled (a big if, considering how these cowboys operate), this equates to about 25 cps. So better than nothing. How long and at what cost though? Should shareholders engage class action specialist firm to protect there interests?

On the other hand looking at a scenario in Australia:

If someone sold me a house for which he didn't have the title, I beleived that he genuinely had title and the Land Titles office approved everything and i lived in the house and renovated it thus increasing its value. Its my understanding that if the real owner come along years later, I would have a good case for keeping the house and the previous, real owner would be able to seek compensation either from bogus seller or the Land titles office if they were at fault. Would appreciate a lawyers view.

Now this may not work the same way in SA but if it does, maybe just maybe NKP share of ownership is protected. Of course how they go about developing the properties is another matter.

Has anyone advised lawyers specialising in international class actions about NKP??

    avarive
