Further to @kalintihi 's post on TNG as marketing VRB's, that VRB is done by a Japanese company, Sumitomo electric who have plans to generate $1bil by 2020 selling VRB systems. According to:

Looks like a competitive market to be, Asia-pacific for us at least. Kalintihi's post attachment reveals research done on part by gildemeister, so TNG would be more then aware of AVL's cooperation with Gildemeister it can be assumed...
