    So collision avoidance means only for objects in front then?

    Or is it 360 degrees?

    I believe they could definitely put in collision avoidance in the front direction via software to determine which pixels are moving at which rate and thus it would have a '3d perspective' and could definitely stop before it hit.

    But it has no sensors for things which are beside behind or below it, thus those collisions will be unavoidable.

    The reason it matters is because if this is tracking your face at a set distance and height, then the major collisions will come from the side (as you turn it will try and track your face to take a selfie.
