Good post,i guess we must rely on eos's 30 years of laser experience. In the ABC article there is the usual but regarding laser development ie they make clear such technology needs to over come obstacles like' atmospheric turbulence' for the connectivity to be reliable. EOS has mentioned multipule obstacles which understandably they do not go into,but did mention a few obstacles, because no one would understand what they were talking about. Probably a positive is the eos terminal being installed on the ISS supported by nasa so we can only hope the eos laser connectivity is developed as much as eos says it is ie they say its ready to roll out as long as customers have optic terminals installed.I don't believe nasa would waste their time installing such connectivity on the ISS unless they had some confidence in the reliability of eos laser connectivity.?
