They can move their workforce globally in a matter of days. When they set foot in Canada, they shifted 100 or so mechanics from Australia and were able to start developing stable client relationships. Then they gradually started to hire local workforce. Their competitive advantage lies in their corporate head office which manages available resources. They also have a subtle hiring policy which targets native english speakers mostly and offers them the opportunity to travel the world (defined as Australia and North America) before they settle with families. Smaller shops, OEMs or mines do not offer this to their mechanics.
