Its original, but im not impress. They make it sound like a big thing because they come up with a way to squeeze it out of a tube. The Hype.
Low carbon blocks have been around for awhile. In terms of psi strength, their Carbon X is about the same as an average CMU block. AND it takes time to cure during builds.
The thing with them is that they operate between 2 industries. Robotics and Material science. That is a lot more resources required and more risk. If it works out of course more benefits.
The more across the supply chain occupied, the more risks. Just ask the Modular builders e.g. Katerra, Veev*
*https://www.calcalistech.com/ctechnews/article/hkhfvyhbp - interesting read. Lennar is a Shark, which ICON is most closely affiliated to but nothing official yet.
They are Israeli. Interestingly they failed because they got play out and didnt raise Cap fast enough.
For us, we occupy that robotic space. We are essentially selling Robotic labour. Material science - thats CRH's, Wiernerberger's, Xella's business.
We build. We get the FK out of there in 2 days (maybe 1). We bill. We record that Revenue. GET THE SP FKG MOVING UPWARDS. Which is what we are all here for not for humanity but for ourselves.
End of the day, especially at this point in history, PEOPLE JUST WANT HOUSE BUILD FAST AND LIVE IN.
We can switch to concrete print if we want. But our advantage in block laying has high chance to be a near monopoly by itself. Which is why I say cut the BS, corner our biggest strength first. Have we learn anything since 2018?
Some people want to squeeze concrete? Want to Fkg go to the Moon ?! Sure! But learn to stand on the Fkg feet first.
We can talk to the moon and back. FBR can have 10x the tech abilities over ICON or anyone. Ultimately is how FBR get out to the US and sell themselves.
