Not to start another war on Hot Copper (again) but the problem with nuclear has been quite clearly demonstrated in England where the cost of making the plants has displayed exorbitant blow outs. Similarly the energy providers (in Australia) have stated they have no interest in hosting nuclear plants. I did see the other day that the massive solar plant in… the NT maybe?… has been green lit which will be a HUGE output. Unfortunately the data is also showing that private enterprise price gauging is also one of the reasons for such terrible inflation here. There are some real, REAL, challenges to get through in Oz but a lot of little things (like the HX) do add up to big changes (to paraphrase Gandalf lol).
