Watch a documentary called sand wars. It is a little older now, but it is eye opening addressing the shortage of building sand. Very worth while watch and you can YouTube it. Every person I have recommend watch it has thought it worthwhile.
Luckily for us FBR is blocks and when cutting coarse sand out of material production begins FBR can work with alternatives.
