- Main advantage is high quality production, as far as I can tell, in a specialised and difficult-to-serve market niche. - Main potential competitors are their current customers; suspect the price strength recently is assuming that there may be an attempt to take them over. They took over a significant competitor in Sigma, a Canadian-based firm they acquired not long ago. - Much of their revenue is dependent on the mining boom, but not necessarily the exploration (speculative) end.
It's actually the kind of company where you can send them an email and get honest answers. I phoned them once about something minor and found myself speaking to the MD.
That might not happen these days, though.
