Am genuinely impressed he is already on the job talking to Cassling now seeing his actual gig does not kick off until after Christmas. Also he does already seem to understand what challenges lie ahead for the company. So maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being at least.
My main takeaway from the webinar was that they have $7m cash, they burn $0.5m a month, and they expect to remain pre-revenue until mid-2025 at the earliest. Second note I took was that they are shooting to have FDA approval for the heart failure technology by the end of 2025 and that product will have a much quicker passage through the reimbursement processes (so my guess is revenue from the heart failure technology will start to flow from 2026). Third point was I think Deon said that in the US each year there are 6m ECGs specifically testing for bung valves and that even if EchoIQ only scored 2% of that market - ie 120kpa - then that would be an okay outcome (though going on 25% of US$60 which I think has been suggested previously as EchoIQ's split of the cost of each test 120kpa tests is not overly great imo).
