"Isnt Reexan founded/based in China? Havnt been watching the news regarding the chips war between US and China atm? Seems like they would be targeting different markets as US/European companies probably wont corrborate with Chinese companies regarding cutting edge IP".

Yes, you are right. Who in the West would possibly work with Reexen?

I know, how about the EU!

    EU collaborative research projects
Reexen has a research and development center in Switzerland and actively participates in cooperative EU research projects. It is currently involved in two such programs: StorAIge and IMOCO4.E.

The StorAIge initiative aims to develop high-performance, ultra-low–power, and safe SoC solutions to improve the EU’s competitive advantage in AI commercialization for edge applications. The total budget for the project is estimated at nearly €100 million.

The objective of the second project, IMOCO4.E, is to provide vertically distributed edge-to-cloud intelligence for machines, robots, and other systems with control components. The project’s total budget exceeds €30 million.

For both projects, Reexen has been participating as a technology solution provider. Other EU partners in the projects include research institutions such as Imec (Belgium), Fraunhofer Institute (Germany), and Grenoble University (France); semiconductor manufacturers including STMicroelectronics and X-Fab; and other European technology companies.International

    R&D team
Reexen’s competitive strengths as a startup are its chip technology intellectual property and its experienced international R&D team, which includes scientists from Imec, ETH Zurich, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other research institutions, as well as senior engineers from top semiconductor manufacturers such as Qualcomm, HiSilicon, Samsung, and Intel. Thus far, Reexen has obtained 30+ patents, published more than 20 ISSCC/JSSC papers, and accumulated extensive experience in chip design and mass production.

The nearly €15 million in Series A funding that closed in July will be used primarily for product development and to expand the R&D team. Reexen currently has 60 employees and has five new projects on the agenda for this year. The planned expansion of its Swiss R&D center will increase the number of experienced European engineers and scientists.

According to Hongjie Liu, Reexen’s vision is to become the ADI of the AI age. ADI is synonymous with analog and mixed-signal chips, and Reexen inference sensing and in-memory computing are a natural extension of traditional analog and mixed-signal processing.
