I actually think 3-5 years is misleading. It may take awhile for initial products to come to market but when they do and prove themselves to be superior products then that makes them what is called sticky tech. By that it means it takes something special to replace it as companies like Renesas, Valeo will already be working on new products as well as playing with AKD2000, then 3000. If proven to be superior it is more like 10+ years IMO.
