Until there’s evidence presented of Rambus or any other group taping out and qualifying their reram tech at fabs, reports like this are merely conversation pieces with no substance - can you supply any references that state anything beyond potential?
The list of high end companies that have campaigned for reram tech is as long as your arm and has spanned decades - from HP working with SKHynix to Samsung, Sony to Winbond - they all want it but for a few exceptions of niche filling, no mass marketable product has been produced as yet. And reading the finer points of Rambus’s efforts which involves platinum ionic transfer, surely the use of this element adds expense to production?
