Oh, another thing I found interesting from the article was, CBA intend to open up their terminal to third party developers. So, that could be a real opportunity for Cirralto to hook Spenda into the CBA terminal API. That would allow CBA terminals to connect and send data to the Spenda platform to update stock, update the back-end accounting system, trigger a payment to a supplier, etc. If CBA leads the way and the other banks also open up their terminals to third party developers that could be a real boon to Cirralto. The article says:

Like Apple, CBA wants to encourage external app developers (who will need to meet minimum CBA standards allowing them to deal with payments) to build on the device to provide new software services to CBA merchant customers.

“What it is today won’t necessarily dictate what it is for tomorrow,” said CBA general manager of merchant solutions, Karen Last.
