Vlad you seem desperate to find any news that would undermine holders confidence in AP. I question why this is so.

Lets look at just one of of the statements you have made above.

" ... the same thing AP have been trying to do "integrate" everything into a small form-factor (MEMS + ASIC), is being attempted or has been achieved by USound using the same approach ... "

The facts are that AP has already made a dual component device MEMS + ASIC + Package. And they have already indicated that these have been integrated successfully. They have not been "trying" to do this, they have done it!

At this present time we are waiting for production volumes of the modified MEMS to become available so that these devices can be turned into working finished devices. Early part-finished devices are stated to have been produced and have been verified as solving the acknowledged voltage matching problems. I.e. in order to be sure that the proposed solution does in fact work AP has pushed through partly completed wafers that have been modified so that these important modifications can be checked and verified. As things stand we are told we can expect finished and fully modified MEMS to be available end of May, and for integration and final packaging to be expedited shortly after. Why does that not seem to elicit relief and confidence on your part?

Technically the USound device may become a real product (sometime in 2018), but it is not doing the same thing at all as the AP MEMS - a fact that you seem to bypass in every posting. And it is not positioned to compete in the same commercial space as AP either.

From the little I have read the USound device is quite clearly a miniaturised membrane speaker that oscillates, and being so small it does so in a very high frequency range (2-15KHz). This makes it useful only for small device applications such as hearing aids, earphones, and mobile phones, as this article states clearly. And it may well be a very good product in that space. But without DSR it has limited usefulness beyond that. It is unlikely to be able to generate anything like the sound pressure levels as the AP chip or chip arrays, so as to be useful as a sound source for a TV or hifi system for instance. As a competitive product it was dismissed by Fred Bart as not competing in the same space as AP. E.g. from the AP Annual Report 30/6/16:

    "Competitive Landscape

As we draw ever nearer to the completion of our four-phased commercialization plan the Company has been experiencing a considerable upsurge in markets' interest. There is a perpetually growing pipeline of opportunities in both loudspeaker and sensory applications spanning a very wide diversity of industries and applications. Over the past months the company has been receiving an influx of requests by companies expressing significant and specific interest in our impending product, leading to a dramatic expansion of relationships involving non-disclosure agreements.

Ironically perhaps some of this intensified interest is attributable to a couple of companies that have recently announced their foray into the world of MEMS loudspeakers. While we applaud such efforts for stimulating additional attention and credibility as to the potential benefits MEMS technologies can bring to the loudspeaker industry, ironically the amplified interest has so far served to highlight even further the revolutionary extent of our technology. Inquiries by the industry quickly reveal that unlike the other announced attempts ...[USound]... that seek to leverage MEMS technologies in order to miniaturize existing analog micro-speaker technologies, Audio Pixels' is fundamentally changing what loudspeakers are, how they operate, what they look like, and what they can do."

Of course you are welcome to hold a differing opinion, but to justify that opinion publicly please present your reasoning along with actual evidence so we, your fellow holders, can update our understanding and perspective on the product based on more than suspicions or rampings.
