The question has to be asked, why did the concrete crack in the first place, and when it does it uses the bacteria to fill the cracks with Calcium Carbonate also know as CHALK!

    Pretty strong stuff hey?

What is an example of calcium carbonate?
Calcite, aragonite and vaterite are pure calcium carbonate minerals. Industrially important source rocks which are predominantly calcium carbonate include limestone, chalk, marble and travertine.

    Chalk is soft
    Limestone is soft
    Marble is soft

Travertine is a very durable material in flooring to heavy traffic. Also, it is a very hard material when compared with marble. The travertine is resistant to temperature changes. ... Due to the porous structure of the travertine stone, there is a need for more care.

    Mohs scale of 3
    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
1 3 Calcite Very easily scratched with a knife and/or a copper coin. This is where most Marbles, limestones, travertines, rate.
    You must be kidding me!
