We will be treating multiple ailments by the time any of these are approved. And if/when they are they will most likely compliment trofinetide rather than replace it. These are mostly all treatments, not cures! Gene therapy may be a cure but it is at least 10 years away, if ever. Also gene therapy can only specifically target one ailment at a time whereas our drugs can potentially treat almost all neurological disorders.
