The stock is falling, When people cannot figure out why they do things like call it a mystery or two complex for many to understand.
It is falling because of many things
- Low prices for all REE products
- Failure to complete any projects on time.
- Projects over budget Page 1 of 5 year plan says total will be AUD 500M. with no stock sales. We are still counting but current is 1.41B and we had a 400M stock sale.
- EPS has dropped from $0.60 to $0.09. A share of stock is now $6,88 at 9c a share earnings that means Lynas is returning
It is this simple not complex at all. With EV and Wind market continuing to decline I see no Hope for REE prices in the next 12~ 18 months. Even if
Lynas achieves 10.5 KT, Which they will not, earning will only double, 0.18C, without higher prices. you figure it out. What Price for NdPrO is needed. When depreciation of CAPEX starts I think it is about 900 + RMB with VAT. What is your number? If you do not have a good idea of this what do you base your buy on? Something super complex?
It is not complex if you do not let your mind get full of unrelated data. The only source for real company growth and dividends is Profits. Lynas has fallen. I think the steep fall is over but I do not see a rapid return to a PE of 40. The ASX 200 is about 30, S&P 500 is about 25.
Right now your annualized gain is lower (still very positive) because of two things. Time continues to increase. Price is going down. If it goes longer there is a point where you are unlikely to make even 8% per year. Make sure you include all stock you own not just the last big lot. Having large gains over many years is great for bar stories. True investors know it is only how much you gain or lose per year that supplies cash to live on.
Google annualized gain for lots of info on why it is important. OR if you prefer google Books on annualized gain to get an in-depth understanding. Many sources of info better than me.
