Hmmmm from what I guess (and it is more of a guess!) the pet variation would more closely simulate the human version. The pill format being 'converted' (compounded) into a liquid form would possibly be slightly different.

Why? Well I guess there are at least some excipients added to the pill format, there might be the equivalent of emulsifiers and definately binders, that sort of thing, whereas the purely liquid (SubQ for instance) version would not have these things.

You are definitely right, the combinations would actually run into the millions as evidenced by the sheer number of moieties (molecules within molecules), bene's ultimate product is not only unique, it has been tested. No, not only has it been merely tested, it has been approved and registered in the FDA DMF (Drug Master File). That is the ultimate level they have attained. Anyone else would have to undergo crazy amounts of rigorous testing and prove batch to batch consistency as well as attain the difficult GMP status. Then, after all that, clinical trials would be in order to demonstrate the efficacy and lack of side effects/Ae's.

I know there has been a lot of time spent time stabilising the product to ensure a longer shelf life. It's yet another example of what goes on in the background as we patiently (!) wait.
