As someone who has scrutinised the counting of the votes, half the informal votes are blank and half are incorrectly filled out.
Votes are knocked out for miscounting eg 1 1 2 3. But 1 2 3 3 are sometimes allowed if the 1 or 2 is a major party. Drawing is allowed if not discriminatory. Any vote with initials or names are disallowed.
