In terms of trademarks, EHEALTHMEDICS was filed in 2014, still waiting for examination. SOMFIT was also filed in 2014 and accepted. As for patents, in 2014, a patent on Vigilance Monitoring System was once again accepted. (there were two other patents on Vigilance Monitoring System accepted several years ago)
It is important to realize patents or trademarks do not directly reduce competitions, but serves as a way to discourage other firms from copying directly, because competitors can always "legally" come up with "slightly different products". The key really lies in strong technology and quality of products.
Take away from them is the evidence that CMP has been investing heavily in Vigilance Monitoring System. And, SOMFIT and Ehealth should be going into commercialization stage progressively over the next 1 or 2 years. (as reflected in trademark and patents)
