It does not ring true to me.
How often in life is a conversation relayed to you and something has gone missing in the process? Often things like important detail, tone, context, accuracy, meaning….
With respect to the alleged conversation the only seed of doubt I have is as to whether this is a case of misquoting, mistranslation or contextomy.
Agree on one thing with you TL….. I’m very keen for Enigma to post the audio transcript of his/her “interview”.
