why not after all if you are law abiding why not...Germany and the rest of Europe have an ID card....I dont mind as my drivers license with my photo is an ID card...No I dont mind it at all as in todays society one needs it...mind you they can even be forged.....and you will not get deported if you can prove who you are...look how much the tax payer has to pay for the immigration cockups which are happening in Australia...after all not everyone runs around with a passport...
