After GOR sp had not soared over the $2 mark over the last few days,and especially given the surge in the price of gold, I decided to review the last few days of transactions.

. 18-2 Of the 8,166 transactions 61% were for less than $1,000, 89% were for less than $5,000 and 96% were for less than $10,000.
. 19-2 Of the 6,910 transactions 60% were for less than $1,000, 92% were for less than $5,000 and 97% were for less than $10,000.
. 21-2 Of the 3,876 transactions 67% were for less than $1,000, 94% were for less than $5,000 and 98% were for less than $10,000.

I thought these days were so alike that it showed a clear strategy to control/reduce the share price, because many large investors make a sale based on the closing price. This strategy is conduct which is likely to have the effect of creating or maintaining an artificial price and is illegal.

This is not just being undertaken on GOR but most Australian goldies, which means it is being carried out on a large scale with some major players.
The average transaction size on 21-2 for some Australian goldies are as follows- GOR 883 shares, RMS 935 shares, EVN 858 shares, NCM 145 shares and NST 207 shares.I think these parcel sizes show that there is a strategy to reduce the transaction size (by splitting deals) and with HFT control/reduce the price.
The ASX, ASIC and GOR will not make waves so any ideas.
