    believe it or not, Norton will most likely be the probably....it is a bloated program that is very memory intensive to run

    i suggest that you remove it and replace it with one of the free antivirus alternatives

    you do not have to use an unknown provider, Microsoft offers Microsoft Security Essentials for free through their website, and it is a very good product

    try it and see, i have done this on several computers successfully before
