    I had something similar happen once on Win XP home edition. Are you exiting the blue disk repair screen? Don't. Let it finish, even if this takes hours.

    Also, try rebooting a couple of times. Win XP often repairs itself. You could also try running scandisk (Windows, Run, type Scandisk, enter) or starting Win XP in protected mode by holding the F8 key while the computer is booting up.
