    both above answers are nearly equal (also second is a bit cynical, I think guy lost patience but knows more then first one)

    1. what are you using Paint for ? (is it for displaying or simple editing)

    2. any Win still have a problem of not releasing 100% of the resources they claimed in a first place, so reboot gives you them back (recommended after a long usage).

    3. 100 more times more powerfull, available for free, image editing programs available on a net (never ever had to use Paint).

    Broken leg ? have aspirin first (according to bomber)

    my advise is, stop using Paint, and get something else (I am assuming you got more then 64Meg memory, if not then, turn off your PC after it booted up and call 000)
