You either need to put a wi-fi card in your computer (if it doesn't have one) or purchase an ethernet-over-powerline kit (under $200) where one box plugs into your freinds router and power point and the other goes to the power point in your room and you PC plugs into that. Option 3 is to run a cable from the router to your PC.
