Dunno where OP hails from, but egg and lettuce sandwich is pretty common over here in the West.
Reminds me of an instance when me and the missus were in Burnie (Tas) and pulled into a local museum with a nice looking coffee shop. I ordered my capuccino and asked if they would do a tumeric latte for the missus. The reply was "oh, that's just pretentious crap". So I ordered a 2nd capo.
Needless to say , whilst having our capuccinos I bashed off a comment to Tripadvisor about this.
A week later, we're back home and I get an email from said coffee shop apologising and offering a free lunch.
