Try a quite separate virus tester ( a remote one that the virus can't turn off ) and malware tester to be sure.
Firewall security may have been circumvented via an add on a 'trusted' site ie HC. Maybe crooks are giving HC a hard time eg slow response times occasionally suggest this possibility.
