    if your graphics card has two outputs on the back (newer ones have usually 2 dvi, some have 1 dvi 1 dsub) try using the other connection on the g/card and see if the problem persists. Also, if you are using say dvi right now, try using dsub if you have the output/input (just to see if the problem persists). At the same time, try a different cable.

    Also, is your screen quickly showing you a message as to why it is blanking out?

    Also, what sort of g/card you have? Download the latest drivers for it (eg if it is nvidia go to nvidia.com and download latest driver).

    Also, just to problem shoot it, alter the resolution below native, and also alter the refresh rate lower and see if the problem still exists.

    First try the other output on the graphics card, and also if you can try the dsub rather than dvi. If that fails, try the other things mentioned.
