No its not , but most union officals are hard working indiviuals who could earn much more money in other fields but have chosen a life helping others rather than a life of helping themselves.
The punishment should fit the crime , do we send some to jail for misusing a credit card whilst we only fine someone involved in a scam that raked in 100's of millions of dollars.
Take the politics out of it and compare apples to apples.
