Actually this CommSec FAQ suggests that may be incorrect. Check example 1, seems as though if you increase the amount, those extra shares will go to the back of the queue but your original amount stays in same spot. On this basis it seems as though reducing order size would leave you in the same spot, but it's not clear on that.
