With respect, you are incorrect again.You are making the fallacious assumption that, except for their size, all retail brokers are the same, eg; they all have identical brokerage rates.
That is certainly not the case. No doubt there are some small brokers that have features that other brokers dont have and hence appeal to some investors. We are not all the same.
