Hi asteroider, as I understand it E-Trade will only allow you to trade with cleared funds so you must wait 3 days until that $10K trade clears...Commsec will allow you to trade without cleared or available funds but will withdraw them in 3 days...or they will withdraw or deposit funds if a buy and sell is done within 2 days (so buy today sell tomorrow profit or loss cleared in T+3)...hope that helps
