Wouldn't say it's a bandaid announcement. Their timeline is such that shareholders were expecting the release of DeB. I'm sure they wanted to release an announcement that both were live and available on the google play/apple store respectively. But there is obviously a delay in acceptance by apple so rather than not telling us anything for a few weeks they are keeping us updated on expected events.
Just good shareholder communication.
If they hadn't released anything people would be complaining that there had been no news about the app launch...
