There is an interesting precedent in Nth Qld now. Seems a scatterbrain woman found a large sum of money in her bank a/c. I'm not sure but she may have told the bank about it but in the end she spent it. Didn't waste it on cars or property etc but enjoyed it at the casino and the good life so nothing left to confiscate. Found guilty and ordered to repay, but that won't happen. It was money from an estate transferred into the wrong a/c. The local paper is The Townsville Bulletin and is in the News stable if someone wants to do a search.
