I'm half glass full- as the last exclusivity period finished 31 Jan and extension wasn't announced until 1 Feb. I'm still hopeful they would be working on some agreement. If Gupta lists on the ASX or somewhere else (last I heard its meant to be this year) they will need to lock in iron ore given the mine life of their current SA assets given their expansion plans. I would not be releasing a prospectus without a key input being locked in.
I'm still hopeful but maybe wishful thinking with HAVs track record.
