The concept is fantastic, but of one concern for me is will the mine be even allowed to get off the ground. While this may not be a popular thought it is one you must consider. Bacchus marsh is not out in the sticks and is very close to metro Melbourne. Victoria has had open cut coals mines You only have to see the health records of the latrine valley to see the problems, also read the underlying effect and the concern from a green point of view.
For me also is Bacchus marsh has a lot of market gardens and grows a lot of food for Victoria. Also is the conservative nature of Victoria and will it allow mines the size proposed by mantle.so close to a populated area you have to remember this is not WA NT or QLD where mining is the life blood of the state. I hope it goes ahead but you really have to consider the other factors I really thought of buying in but the area has me in belief that it will not get government approval to go ahead.
