tcisboss, any responsible government would not lock up or build over a multi billion dollar resource that could supply the state with jobs and revenue for decades.
There is a reason why Qld and WA are the envy of other states.
Also this:
* The Victorian Government is committed to investing in and facilitating low emissions coal technology research and development, which means million dollar grants are possibly on the table.
* The Victorian Government passed in law through the new Climate Change Act, a 20 per cent reduction in Victorias emissions by 2020. According to Environment Victoria, brown coal fuels 93 percent of the electricity generated in Victoria. Exergen can deliver up to 40 percent emissions reductions. You do the maths.
