Sorry RVR, have to disagree there, I have never come across a case where radiation caused mutations have been positive, i.e. added new genetic information. All cases to date point to neutral or negative changes in DNA. Please don't go along the path of loss of genetic information can be a positive as some people do, as only a gain in genetic information can lead to upward evolution. That does not take away from the argument that low levels of radiation do not seem to be detrimental to humans.
